I agree BFP it shouldn’t turn into a xenophobic or racist thread.

Who could have predicted though that BFP or Elite wouldn’t offer any condolences to a Tory MP.

Amess was a Thatcher-loving Brexiteer. Very religious, campaigned against gay marriage and abortion and was a committed royalist. He was about as far away as you can get from what I'm about.

But that's not really the issue here is it? A father of 5 has been brutally murdered in a place of worship, doing a job that would hopefully benefit the community. It's not really about politics and my thoughts are with his family at this horrible time.

Offering my condolences is not something I tend to do whoever happens to have died, whether they are Labour or Tory.

Please don't be cheeky TheBlackHorse, especially on such a dangerous subject. I was simply responding to complaints made about this thread. My personal beliefs or opinions were never mentioned in my warning. This is not a frivolous matter.

For what it's worth, you may want to consider that I decided to give a warning rather than a card in this instance.
