    All time average attendances.

Considering we are a small populated town, surrounded by wolves, blues, villa and walsall.
On the pitch and on the terraces we have more than hold our own and with no money men putting huge sums into our club.

Yes but we are still bottom 3 in the PL!

Too good for the Championship but not good enough for the PL.

Different times and different types of supporters, I was talking to my mom about this on Friday.
In the old days men worked on Saturday mornings as part of the working week. Not many had a car or television so the main pastimes were football and pigeon flying.
As time passed people had a better standard of living and took up other pursuits like Golf where they wouldn't be allowed before.
Sadly though football is probably more popular than ever the prices mean they are a different type of supporters that I remember in the sixties and seventies, the ordinary man has been priced out.
On Friday I watched our game in the pub.
We have always had a good loyal hardcore set of supporters, and of course the clubs that surround you have a bearing, but once you stop going you get into a comfort zone you choose games or like me stop going.
Football gates should have become bigger since most dad's take their sons. My grandad took my dad, he took me and I took my son. But that hasn't happened, for one who has started going one has stopped.
Apart from a handful of clubs I can't see gates getting bigger, I think they will become smaller unless prices are made affordable and matches stop being televised.
