What a memory to fall back on

When Bruce in his dotage remembers his 1000th game.

I was really hoping we'd win and then sack him tomorrow but it turned into a bit of a mare for Bruce. It doesn't look great when you're a so called 'defensive minded coach' but you don't know how to organize a defence.

Can't place all the blame on him though....weren't there 5 players in that team who were playing in the championship? Ashley deserves as much stick as Bruce for continual under-investment

Was it the Spurs or Newcastle fans singing "you're getting sacked in the morning" or both?

I think Bruce started it. He can't wait for his payout

If he loved the club as much as he claims he wouldn't accept the pay off....never gonna happen though...he's been waiting for it so long

He probably think he's due it. He's been working on it long enough.

Yes, and he's made a real fine job of earning it.

Anywhere else in any of the leagues from top to bottom he wouldn't have lasted half of the time as he has here.

Yes - you can imagine him in his rocking chair, on the porch with his grandson perched on his knee: ”Ah yes, I remember my 1000th game. It was against Spurs, and they ripped me a new one. I then went on to give my 1000th abysmal post match interview about ‘bashing away’”

    *grandson starts crying
