    Swansea v West Brom

Valerian Ismael returns as West Brom boss on Wednesday night. He left Barnsley in the summer break after we beat them in the play-off semis.
West Brom are doing well and have recovered since being relegated from the Premier League last season under Sam Allardyce, they sit second in the table with 7 wins and 25 points.
Swans will go into this match full of confidence after such a convincing win against Cardiff, where Jamie Paterson was man of the match, scoring one goal and assists for the other two.
Let’s hope we get a better standard of referee this time.

Excellent and well deserved win, especially after conceding in the first minute. We recovered and second half we really took the game to West Brom. Goodnight!

West Brom had two key players missing through injury against us, £12.2m signing from West Ham, winger Grady Diangana, and new signing, midfielder Alex Mowatt, who was out of contract at Barnsley and followed their manager to West Brom in the summer. They have such a strong squad it didn’t make a difference. Our tactics seemed to be wear them out chasing possession and let our superior fitness come to the fore second half. Their aggressive play and high press unsettled us and their high line caught us offside several times, but they couldn’t sustain it all match and we came more into the game. Impressive comeback win in the end against one of the promotion favourites.

“It’s a massive win for us. We went 1-0 down early, we knew what they would bring - a lot of energy and pressing,"
