Swansea played well 2nd half .... but thought we were holding out comfortably. Then Hugill came on it changed the entire balance of the front three as he has no pace at all. Why we got rid of HRK and replaced him with Hugill god only knows - HRK would have been well suited to the high press. After that Swansea dominated and scored their goals - both from defensive mistakes mind.

I think the Championship will be tight this season ... so ain’t giving up yet. But we need a quality CF and a creative midfielder in January. Lai needs to get his cheque book out .... and start cashing in all the money he’s saved and parachute payments ...

I'm not advocating that we get rid of Ismael but we have to be honest with ourselves and admit that we are not playing well and have only done so in a handful of games. I honestly believe that the number of points we have accrued flatter us somewhat. This is not an over reaction but an honest appraisal of the season so far.

The current squad as the basis of a team in the Premier League would spell a season of defeats. The only possible plus point of going up would be if it enabled the wretched runt to con someone into buying the club.

Actually, haven’t you wanted him out after about game 3? Christ, give the bloke a chance. We’re not Watford you know.

It's not appalling and generally entertaining actually. We've put 4 passed a couple of sides, most touches in opponents half, most touches in opponents box etc.. It's a pragmatic system about getting it in the right areas rather than tippy tappy sh*te in our own half which Darren Moore brought in.

It's not been perfect but if we're expecting perfection from a team straight away then we need our heads wobbling. There's weak players throughout this side that manager after manager and system after system have failed to address.

Exactly Matt - good measured response against deluded fools. Does any idiot really expect this s hite squad to be better than Fulham or Bournemouth?

Ashamed to support the club to be honest!

No doubt about it, we were poor, particularly in second half. In terms of perspective, all things considered we are still not doing badly in as much that we have played 13 games and are 3rd despite having a much inferior squad in comparison to recent seasons. The problem, of course, is that the championship this year is pretty dire and the gulf in quality between it and the Premiership is just growing. Do any of us seriously think that we will be given the money to invest if we do manage to go up? We would be worse than Norwich. Val isn't perfect but even more vaunted managers like Mourhino didn't seem to have a Plan B. Given the quality of players at his disposal he isn't doing too badly tbf. The harsh reality is -as others have said-is that we are an upper table championship side and it will take some drastic change in investment to alter that.
