    Until yesterday I had never come across the word vomitory that appeared on the big screen. Had to look it up in the dictionary to find out that it means a clear passage. They probably know that all our fans are well versed in the vocabulary on Countdown!

    I think Grealish would struggle with ”dictionary”… 😉

    I must also, in another context, mean ”inducing vomiting” I’d guess?

    ”Vomitory” is also a Swedish death metal band. 😎

    I seem to recall when the new stands were open and the area V1, V2 etc wre shown, the very question was aked wha tdoit the "V"stand for. They obviuosly think the average fan is well ejucacated
