We've actually been decent enough but a but of chronic defending/goalkeeping presented United with their only chance of the game, we've not taken ours so we're getting beat. Still in it but needs to be sharper at either end to take something.
KVV back to start for Roberts.
Hmm.

Deserved equaliser and then McGinley absolutely sold the jerseys.
You can say we should never have lost that but Siegrist made two ridiculous saves while we booted the ball into our own goal twice and that's the difference.
McGinley and Grimshaw should be nowhere near the team on Wednesday and there's a fair few more relying on reputation alone to keep their spots.
Really disappointing to get nothing out of that - Mulgrew may have 'picked out' Edwards for the first goal, but I think it was a hit and hope; the second came from a couple of fluky breaks of the ball, albeit that McGinley really blew it for the free - kick. And, being a Motherwell supporter, I thought that Ojala was well airborne before there was any contact with the Utd. guy when our 'goal' was chalked off.
But, as ever, that game's in the record books already, and St.Mirren are looming. Now that will be a big game.
I thought it a clear foul tbf, he had hands on both his shoulders.
On current form we're happy with the two centre backs, Slattery and Watt. Everyone else either needs dropped or to get their finger out.
A three game losing run at tynecastle, Celtic and tannadice, especially a we played okay is disappointing but not worth losing the head over. Lose to St Mirren - or even just draw - and suddenly we're getting very nervous.
From Alexander's post-match, "I thought we were the better team. We should have won the game but you don't always get what you deserve."
I must have been at a different game.
Better team is pushing it but we were certainly no worse than them and we should never have lost.
Wednesday could prove to be pivotal for our whole season.Beat Saints and if the other results go our way that night we open up a gap of
4 points to 7th place. Lose to Saints and the rest of the results go against us we could be down to at least 8th only 4 points clear of 11th place with games against the Govan FC and Aberdeen next. Time to start scoring first in a game and going on to win 3 points. Both goals we lost today were really poor from a defensive perspective. Both O’Donnell and McGinley turn their backs on their two opponents giving them time and space to score. We have to get smarter at defending set plays.
