    Sunderland A.F.C. 0 Charlton 1

What a difference a change of Manager makes and well done to Johnnie Jackson who has taken over the reins after Adkins exited the club mid-week after a poor run of results seeing the team in the relegation zone.

Fans will need to be patient with JJ and Jason Euell newly appointed first team coach but will be more than delighted with this win against a team ensconced in the top 6.

A second half Stockley header was all that was needed and the team did well to hold onto the win and keep a clean sheet full of endeavour in the process. Now keep it up and keep it going with Johnnie and Jason.

    Charlton goal: Stockley 66

Nice one Valley, I thought after you got rid of the Belgian that you guys would be OK but getting rid of your manager seems to have done the trick because we like to see you down the Den again so we can get the 3 points.

Hello Claw. I know it's a one-sided derby the closest we ever get is a draw and then not too often. I think both our teams will probably be non movers in league terms this season but am more optimistic about staying in League 1 now, under Adkins relegation was to 2 a near certainty. Although you could creep into the play-offs.
