T20 World Cup England v Sri Lanka

Sri Lanka won the toss and decided to bowl first and when they had us at 35 -3 after 6 overs it ollked a very good move. However, Josh Buttler batted throughout the innings and brought up his 100 off the last ball with a mighty 6. He wa supported by Eoin Morgan in a stand of 112 in 13 overs. Morgan was struggling but managed to get going and finished with 40 off 36 balls.
Last 10 overs we scored 116 runs for the loss of 1 wicket. Josh finished on 101 not out from 67 balls and Sri Lanka need 164 to win.
I am not a great lover of T20, however, when you see guys like Buttler doing their stuff ----who can complain?

Josh is the first Englishman to score centuries in Test, ODI and T20 cricket!

We shouldn't have any difficulty with this now alf, however, most unusual to see Woakes putting a catch down, could this be the slip which costs us?
To be honest, our bowling should be good enough to keep the runs down ----but you never know!

When we took the smashing team catch on the boundary for the 6th wicket they needed 35 off 19 balls which was within their reach.
They lost their last 5 wickets for 8 runs including the brilliant run out by Buttler which probably won us the game.
Josh has had a smashing day!

He's a Lancastrian, what else can you possibly expect?

BT, I have to go back to my RAF days in 1973 and remember that Taunton was nowhere near Lancashire, in fact it was some 240 miles away from my home in Ossy.

It's Jos Buttler supersub, not Josh. It appears Jos is short for Joseph!
