    Freddie ladapo

How good was he today. Made the runs into the channels, held the ball up well and thought for lost cause and could have had More than bagged in the end. Quality if he keeps up this workrate.

He needed the kick up the Aris of signing Grigg. Warney will be hard pressed to drop him after today so it's now up to him to keep the shirt

That’s what we’ve been waiting for ! He played like he wanted to be on the pitch ? he’s done it once, so no excuse for not doing it regular ? He needs to understand that harder you work the more you get rewarded ? It makes a massive difference when both your strikers are working hard and closing down. Hopefully the penny has dropped that he will keep his place if he continues in this vein. Well done Freddie ( but about time )

Totally agree he was awesome today
Don’t know what’s happened little things like when the players clap the crowd at the end he’s the exception off down the tunnel but today he stayed on with his teammates and had a smile as wide as the Sunderland defence hed just mauled
He’s obviously had a kick up the arse and we’ve now got 3 really good strikers at least till January

Summed up my words better than I did, can’t drop him on that performance and if he now knows that is what is needed hopefully he will carry on putting that effort in.

Unfortunately I saw it too late to merge but in future please keep all immediate post match thoughts on the one thread rather than starting your own.

CAM, have to disagree on your post. There’s the post match thread and something singular that do not combine. This thread was started way after a post match thread sat 8.43pm.

Sometimes, singular posts on a specific thing are not always post match threads and have to remain just that. Stop spoiling a good post on a player that of late has come in for some constructive feedback. It’s not all about post match threads on a Saturday night.

Indeed, PW seems to have given him a wake up call by putting Grigg in the starting line up.

But can Ladapo show consistency or is it a decent performance 1 in 3 ?

Maybe we will see in the next two games if it’s 1 in 3
