    O/T Bridge over the Don

I know it’s been mentioned but couldn’t find it.

    https://www.rothbiz.co.uk/2021/10/ne...elling-up.html

£11m from the Levelling Up Fund will provide a new pedestrian bridge across the river between the new residential development and Guest & Chrimes and New York Stadium, the route of this bridge will culminate in new public realm at the end of Water Lane close to where new housing is being built on the site of the former Sheffield Road swimming baths. A Riverside Walk will also be developed to open up the River to the new residents and people walking into the town.

They could have built the Bridge over the River Kwai faster than a Bailey Bridge over the Don...

Ex- Steelworkers don't do navvi work do they gm.?

Belated Happy Birthday, been in Blackpool treating the grandkids so missed it by four days, hope your Nephew Ned remembered this time.
Ps.....hope you got plenty of balls and some new golfing gloves.

Would be ideal to have a Bailey Bridge from New York Tavern.
We could stagger out of the pub straight into our seats.
Better still get a bridge for away fans as well.

    UTM.

All joking aside, it's high time that Rotherham started to embrace it's two rivers and canal which flow slap bang through town. A major river, with a huge weir, and adjacent canal flowing straight through the town centre just yards away from the Minster should be a town planners dream. It could and should be the envy of other towns in the area.

No more buildings turning their back to the Don due to its industrial heritage. Now that it's clean, embrace it and cherish it. Roll on Forge Island.
