    Callum Butcher

Still injured? Taken up another job? Emigrated to Australia? Fallen out with TC? Or just another in the long line of injuries we're not telling you about as it's on a need to know basis and you don't need to know?

We play much better and expansive football without him in the team.

Find that a tad unfair seen as he has hardly been in the team that is playing in this new expansive way.

I think what folk are saying is that his absence is one of the reasons we're keeping the ball better and that's allowed us to play better. I wouldn't be surprised if there is a fallout that was the conversation that caused it.

He has played in 9 games this season up to middle of September. We started playing football after he was out injured with a ball player in the midfield Levvitt. Our midfield looks more balanced now.

Of course it could always be that instead of fall outs, seeing as the team are doing so well then there is no need to rush him back. He’s been playing through persistent niggly injuries the last 12 months and it could just be that they’re letting him get properly fit when there’s no pressure to rush him back. He’s certainly no longer a first pick currently but he sure as hell is somebody you want to have available from the bench. Particularly in a Derby if the Cop Beater is needing swiftly put in his place.

It's a strange one. I'm not his biggest fan, (do like him tho) but normally agreed that he was required in the team. There were some opinions that we would be steamrolled by physical midfields , fair enough. Yet, this midfield seem to be more mobile, more attack minded, and can actual pass a ball, short and long, and dare I say it? even unlock a defence, yet, no steamrolling. It's hard to dominate constant movers, as opposed to just nailing the main man. Me personally, I don't think now is time to re-introduce CB back in to the side. I wouldn't like to see him leave, but if there is friction or bad vibes in the dressing room it has to be addressed. (probably has been) by the look of things.
