That was shocking.

It's not so much that we've offered literally nothing positive, it's that we don't even seem to want to offer anything positive. There's no attempt to retain the ball, no ability to counter attack, no functioning target man, no ability to hit long balls behind for some pace to run onto. Even the odd set pieces we've scrambled have been wasted.

We've basically offered to play defence v attack for 90 minutes and holding on would be a major surprise - there's nothing to give us a break, nothing to keep Aberdeen honest at the back. Not to mention we're a red card waiting to happen.

And even if they have 'one of those days' in front of goal and we steal a draw, what's the benefit? We cannot possibly attempt to play like this for anything length of time, it's not sustainable, yet it appears to be Alexander's style of choice to the cost of what attacking positives we did show earlier in the season.
