He comes across extremely well and that's without comparing him with our previous buffoon.

A bit off topic.I was gobsmacked at Howe's findings that certain players, lacked fitness & were largely' static' in their positional play.WTF.Without wishing to demean lower levels of football I thought this type of accusation could only be levelled at Sunday League standards. What on earth was Bruce doing on the few days he asked players to 'train'.If correct, this is a sad indictment & to top it all off, he left with a healthy pay off. C'mon pundits .... 'lets be avin you'.Are we still a deluded bunch of protagonists ???????

Bruce is quite possibly the worst coach we've ever had so nothing that comes out will be a surprise.

That's a serious indictment nevertheless, but true. And more serious when you think to be there he's got to be worse than the likes of Phartdew, MacMuffin, and JokingEar.

Oh aye, Pat. I actually considered them before posting it. Include Carver and Ardilles in there too.

I’ve said this before on here - but I think Ashley was such a vindictive, spiteful cünt that he actively sought the most repugnant, disgusting, pathetic excuse of a ‘head coach’ he could possibly inflict on us to laugh at our collective dismay and to fuel his own amusement at our expense - twät…

That's just so accurate and another reason for their appointments is that they would work for pocket money wages compared with what a club of our former standard would pay a manager.

The fact that the squad is deemed unfit by Howe is that the last two coaches had a defensive counter attacking style.

Howe wants an all out attacking style at pace,he wants the players to sprint for 90 minutes and said the players will suffer to achieve this.
In his year off he has travelled to lots of clubs to observe up to date training methods.

Yeah, I read he was with Simeone at At. Madrid for a while?

Even if Simeone is a defensive style manager, he knows how to get a tune out of his players.

Hopefully Howe can do something similar here.

He's an eloquent guy who understands football, so always gives good interviews I think... one of the many reasons he's a great choice. The fact he's also so likeable and well-respected within the game takes a little heat off us with the Saudi links. Don't think that was a factor in the appointment, just a helpful PR by-product. We do have to be careful not to get carried away though - I think the key is not getting any further adrift before the transfer window opens. It'll take a while to implement his style with this squad since they've been coached in the opposite direction by Bruce and, in a different way, Benitez before him. If we're in touch still in January, we have a good chance of getting out of trouble by adding some quality and some cover. It's all we really need since there's a decent handful of capable players at the club already. Then, in the summer, the rebuild begins in earnest.
