It's quite funny really. What always happens when we get within a sniff of the play-off places?
Our players suddenly realise they may not be getting an easy contract next season and things may get tough, so we go on a predictable losing streak. Then when the pressure is back off, they will get a few wins, get back in the running again, get close, panic and repeat.
It's been going on years, its deep rooted, and will never change while the club is being run like this.
The fact is, WBA are as poor as the other midtable rubbish in this league, so that 3rd promotion place is up for grabs via the play-offs. Some random, poor side will join Bournemouth and Fulham in being £147m richer when they go and up come straight back down the season after.
Of course, its all pointless, as that would be awful. And thats the best we could ever hope for. It would be embarrasing. Imagine this lot ...Bradley Johnson and Ayala (in the 8 games a season he is fit) playing Liverpool and City.
Hence I stepped out of all this *******s a while back.

I don't even look forward to games anymore, I have lost interest. So what if they win lose or draw? It's going absolutely nowhere this. Like most football clubs.

Decent goal. Pretty average performance vrs a pretty average side.

I'm not a huge fan of expected wins, its never been something I felt 100% on even in our Shearer days. A scrappy 1-0 will do.

I cant help but think Rovers cashed in on Armstrong at the right time. Nowhere near good enough for that level above. He went to the complete wrong club. Hasn't scored since 15 mins into his first game.
Brereton is a better footballer, and is in a very hot streak. And needed to be our main man so is benefitting from Armstrong leaving. And in hindsight we got very good money for a lad who won't score goals at that level.
