    Shelvey and Joelinton

Eddie was talking them up in the pre-match press conference today. Said Shelvey was great technically and Joelinton is going to be a big player for us in the future:

I read that and thought 'well, we're just going to have to trust his judgement'.

I guess the other thing is that he's trying to engender a spirit of togetherness and unity because God knows we'll only get out of this if we stick together-and that includes the fans-so this will be part of that.

Yeh he's not going to come out and say Super Joe is absolute horse sh!t even if he realizes that and knows he'll probably be gone in Jan. Good management imo

Shearer believes Big Joe has been played out of position all along by Bruce.

Who knows, maybe there's something in him we can make use of, though I doubt he'll even become a "big player" for us ever.

    Certainly never a £40million player.

Agreed Pat. But if he turns out to be a 10mil player, that will be better than what he is currently.

I reckon he might be the sort of player that does well under Howers management style - arm around the shoulder explaining exactly what to do and what will happen if he does.

I think you are right Jammy. He obviously has shown ability in the past to have had a career in Germany and probably just needs to be nurtured by the right manager but as I said in an earlier post, a £40million player he will never be.

He should have been playing Left Back ( in the dressing room) all along
