😂 I felt the need to support a player that had helped United greatly though the years. 🤪

    Better stadium than Dens Park*
    Bigger crowds

    Bigger club.

*not a high bar to be fair 😁
Dunfermline highest average crowd, 10,898 in 2000. Just behind Uniteds highest average, 12,000 odd.

Yeah that was our 1 home game that was still under restrictions so while I don't doubt that obviously had a bearing on the final season average the fact we also had an extra home game against one of the old firm and the fun didn't kind of evens that out .

100 (one hundred) years after The Fun last won the Scottish Cup in 1910, 28,000 United fans travelled to Hampden to witness United lifting the Cup again.

The Fun Curse remains to this day

"After Dundee won the cup in 1910, a crowd of around 20,000 greeted the victorious team when they arrived back in the early hours of the morning.

The cup winning team boarded a horse drawn carriage at Dock Street and into Union Street and by this time, the Dundee fans had taken over the duty of the horses and the precision carried on towards Dens. However, the weight on the fans broke the carriage’s back axel and the Dundee players ran the rest of the way to Dens Park with a police escort.

Now, Dundee folklore has it that the Scottish Cup was displayed in the window of a premises which belonged to a Dundee Director, who just happened to be an undertaker.

The story goes that a Dundee ‘speywife’ was so outraged and incensed by what she perceived as a bit of bad taste, she proceded to put a curse on the team stating that from that day onwards Dundee FC would never lay their hands on the silverware again"

    And so it remains 🧡
