    Simon Hooper and Team

I have no doubt that despite the introduction of VAR and the like there still remains decisions being made on the basis of a fashionable or unfashionable basis. Apparently VAR did occur regarding the Chris Wood incident and yet neither the referee or VAR man thought there was nothing wrong with the challenge. Had that occurred against another higher grade club that would have at least been a free kick or at the other end of the spectrum would have resulted in a sending off. The differences in decisions for or against is staggering. One final point is I have never seen a referee so far behind play than Simon Hooper - his fitness levels were well below par.

Steady on L.C . You will have Ashy on your case calling a referee.

Even though the referee was behind the play his linesman was level. and if he chose not to see a blatant foul then the PGMOL need to investigate his failure and the reason behind it.

While I do not expect the PGMOL to take any action, they appear to consider themselves beyond reproach.

Unfortunately football is now being ruled by money rather than common sense.

Cornet should have had a penalty.
    Tarkowski was booked for nothing.
    Ditto Westwood.
The Wood decision was so farcical it was astonishing.
The EPL have obviously decreed our time is up and have instructed the PGMOL accordingly - there really can be no other explanation.

I still put it all down to incompetence, they are far more interested in game management than applying the laws sensibly, fairly and impartially. They are driven by directives, trained to take the LEAST controversial option. I do not believe there is any conspiracy against us, if there was we'd be racking up the red cards, but we're not are we, when was the last one ?

Hopefully that last sentence is not tempting fate.

Our penalty ratio is consistently the worse in the EPL, that tells you all you need to know sinkov.

That’s because we’re the nicest team in the league Sinkov , not a ounce of badness / aggression in us - unless Bardsley plays , I’ve posted a few weeks back re this - no real leader on the pitch and real lack of aggression.

The thing is for me , these referees are Professional now and earn very good money and whilst we could accept mistakes a few years back now they have the benefit of multiple cameras and extra sets of eyes to view incidents , so my question is if they have all these of that firstly how can they get it wrong so much , and secondly as professionals they should be obliged to answer questions on why they did or didn’t give decisions with all of that technology to hand it’s not acceptable to get so many things wrong.

We are consistently the team with the least possession in the PL, hence we spend less time in the opposition box than every other team, thus we get fewer penalties than anyone else, it would be very odd if it were otherwise.
