    Tipping point

I always find it interesting if/when I reach the point in the season when I'm no longer hoping decent teams beat dross but dross nick results from the decent teams - apparently that time has now come for this year as I would take absolutely nothing positive from Hibs beating Ross County tonight.

Hibs have an absolutely brutal schedule in December, they will surely struggle to pick up results consistently which means if we can keep our run going for another week with the Dundee double then Easter Road, we have a great chance to really solidify our place in the top six going into the - on paper - more winnable spell over Christmas.

County win 1-0 and Hibs have two sent off...a good evening's work from the sofa!

Except that Dundee will now seriously be looking over their shoulder. Can't afford anything less than the Hearts performance this Saturday!

Dundee have won only 2 of 13 league games and of the teams below us we've lost only to Hibs due to an unavoidable penalty.

We'll lose if we take anything for granted but otherwise we should be looking for at least a point from this one.

That’s the problem with recent Motherwell teams. On paper this should be 3 points, but this has the makings of a let down, and an embarrassing one at that. Need to keep a high tempo to get through it.

I always find that psychologically three game weeks have a massive impact...the last two wins have lifted the gloom but anything less than 100% will undo the good work. But five points or more sets us up incredibly as a team to catch in the top half.

I’d say the half time score line tells us which way this game is going. Just as expected I’d say.

We were awful. But had KVV been six inches lower with his shot we'd have been right back in it, as undeserved as it would have been.

Alexander needs some turnaround for midweek.
