Overdue but effectively it will be another " jobs for the boys" club

Or in today's world jobs for the xxxxx ( enter ethnic quota name)

Lots of meetings, lots of box ticking lots of political agendas and no real teeth to do anything.

The Premiership will run rings around any regulator.

You probably are right. And that’s a shame because the finances at the richest and the poorest clubs need regulating.

And parachute payments to yo-yo clubs have to stop. Norwich, Fulham and West Brom have a lucrative business model out of them.

Agree totally about parachute payments. What other business or industry rewards failure?
Another thing that needs addressing is payment of taxes. Presumably the players and other members of staff have income tax deducted monthly at source so why not have a rule that it has to be paid to HMRC within a similar time frame?
Also the "undisclosed" thing with transfer fees should be banned and clubs should be compelled to state what they have bought and sold individual players for to provide a more visible control of finances.
Just a couple of thoughts that may help to discourage out of control spending.
