The restrictions were deliberately eased so they could justify this new variant to reach our shores? Wish they’d just tell us now what they planned for us in the coming weeks, at least we can plan ahead. So a firebreak, back to lockdown.. what’s it going to be? No social contacts. Losing the will to even care. Meanwhile in wuhan and China we dont hear about any new variants.. but of course we can’t ever believe what comes from over there. This whole thing is getting predictable. Enjoy your christmas everyone, it could be your last.

Air travel will stop when the variant is well and truly established here.

This really is becoming an absolute f u c k fest, I'm sick to death of the whole thing.

It's pretty much a certainty that the vaccine will render this to be no real threat to the vast majority so why all the hoo ha again!?

So take the f u c k I n g vaccine, shield YOURSELF if you can't and if you can't do either then you know the likely alternative.

    I'm sick to death of being nannied over this f u c k I n g bat flu.

Read our Covid thread from over a year ago and what I said at that time.......I said that governments needed to ramp up facilities, staffing and equipment of new specialist respiratory centres to deal with a likely long lasting period of years that this could go on for and look what's happened.....F U C K ALL.

We needed the vaccines........which thankfully we got.

We needed people to act with collective responsibility and take the vaccine........which hasn't happened due to 20% of the population knowing best!

We needed poorer nations ( like South Africa ) to be blitzed with free vaccines.........which hasn't happened.

We needed facilities and nurses etc as stated earlier in this rant.......it hasn't happened.

This is a mass failure of political pip-squeaks across the globe, even the supposedly world class Germans have f u c k e d this up massively.

If they try locking us down again it's going to get very messy, there's going to be riots here and mass disobedience.

On a personal level it's going to be very dangerous, I've tried to be confident about business and have invested massively in new staff and into buying additional volumes of products for this winter.......lockdown could send many of us into s h I t street.

The failure of governments and the stupidity of 20% of people is just beyond my understanding.

and yet nobody is being a slight skeptical or cynical about this new variant marketing strategy that kicked off last night?

I’ve always kept an open mind and I’m starting to think this is going too far. There are usually high deaths of flu at this time of year. They **** scared us with Delta from India and now a new one from SA. Yet we are still to believe these experts? I am a science evidence based person but I my views on this is getting swayed by the constant bull**** coming out - my belief is that so long as you put out the data showing this and that, people naturally (whatever level they are in government or other bodies) start to react to it and this trickles down to the wider society.

Before you know it, we are all complying. This whole thing has never sat well with me and they’ve tagged those who go don’t believe as the antivaxxers. They’ve had their reputations tarnished so much, you either side with them or don’t. Some have gone wild with their theories and I get that. My view has always been you let people believe what they want, if it’s that bad then education and real life proof can otherwise silence them. Yet all they do is report some anti vaxxer dying. It doesn’t help and their theories around freedom and control well this is what it’s starting ti seem like. Why? Nobody knows. But if this whole thing was that serious then we’d have prepared so much with ventilators etc and fixed our health care system. Instead our puppet government are raking in the money through contracts.

Someone will give me covid and i’ll die from it.

I'm a sceptic as I've always thought the world has lost it's bl00dy mind over this f'king virus that poses a serious risk to <1% of those who get symptoms. It has genuinely played on the fears of people who have for the last 2 years curtailed their lives even when vaccinated. The spread cannot be stopped, it can only be suppressed to some degree and then a rebound happens whenever such measures are removed resulting in the next wave and the next and so on.

The latest reaction makes perfect sense - send out the news, stop the flights and buy some time to isolate & grow the variant in a lab, check if it's susceptible to the vaccine & if not then adapt the vaccine as we're told the scientists can now do.

Viruses do not tend to mutate into more deadly strains by the way, but this latest news will more than likely trigger another enormous payday for big Pharma vaccine producers and another backlog within the NHS as resources are diverted to vaccination work.
