    New Society Development Manager

    From the Society....good luck Sally.

    New Society Development Manager

Following our advertisement for a Development Manager we received a high number of applications from very competent individuals which made the job of choosing the best candidate very difficult.

We want to thank everyone for taking the time to submit their applications and where appropriate for attending the interview.

The Well Society are delighted to announce the appointment of Sally Hall as our Development Manager who now will join the Society in January 2022.

Sally is an all round creative person with extensive experience in journalism, communications, campaigns and film making having previously held a number of positions including Communications Manager, Media / PR and Newspaper Reporter / Sub-Editor with various charitable and sporting organisations together with working within the national press.

Sally stays in Strathaven and is a keen Motherwell Fan.

Douglas Dickie, Joint Chair of the Well Society, said “I am extremely pleased that Sally has agreed to join the Well Society as Development Manager. Sally has a strong CV with a range of skills which will be key to the Well Society moving forward in relation to increasing the membership and finances and moving the Well Society to the next level. Her experience in communications, media, social media and campaign management will be a real asset to us in the coming months in achieving our goals.”

Sally Hall said “I am absolutely delighted to be joining the Well Society. As a Motherwell fan I know what this Club stands for and I can’t wait to utilise my skills to be part of an organisation whose mission is to improve people’s lives. I look forward to getting to know the fans better and to opening up a meaningful dialogue and base of support which can take the Well Society and the community it serves to the next level.

Dunno if my expectations were too low but on the face of it she sounds as good an appointment for a role which is both near impossible and not especially well paid as we could hope to get. Good luck to her, I suspect she'll need it!

I'm sure if we all get behind Sally and support her work she will succeed. I wish her well in her new job.
