Motherwell pay the price for poor performance at Dundee

Motherwell failed to turn up at Dens Park and Dundee took advantage to hand the visitors a 3-0 defeat. - LINK

As the cliche goes, we lost 3-nil and were lucky to get nil. When the goalie is man of the match, you know it's been a woeful day. Not really looking forward to the next match, if that is the standard.

Watched match ppv and we were horrendous every department with exception goal keeper. Our consistency is woeful and suggest must improve mid-field with urgency and introduce some creativity. Prefer if Woollery played deeper and ran at defence as he’s pointless receiving ball out wide when standing static. McGinley and Grimshaw should never be on pitch and together and suggest both used only emergency cover.

Brings me onto Watt .. are you not weary his ever falling over slightest brush ?
(poor mans Grealish). If could stay upright, he’d be more potent

Our depth in midfield is incredible, we have about four players who are all similar in approach and should normally be considered cover at best...Slattery is a good addition and we can obviously hope the Irish lad adds some creativity but a major overhaul - ie one-way train tickets for many - is needed for next season.

The BIG question must surely be ... 'How can a team run their gutz out, and press, press, press against Hearts seeing the results, to then become an absolute car crash 7 days later'? And, please no-one give me the age-old retort of "That's Motherwell for you". Total embarrassment that performance. If Alexander don't get them up for it tonight he can get tae IMO.

If you knew that you'd probably be a rich man...the league is very level in Scotland atm, Hearts have been by far the most consistent team outside the OF but didn't turn up at all at FP, United are fourth but have one win in five, Hibs had lost five in a row going into Saturday, Aberdeen's winless run was well noted, St Mirren haven't won in six. And that's before we look at the sides likely fighting relegation.

As pull-your-hair-out-frustrating as it is, we might as well acknowledge now that this season we will have our share of absolute howlers just like everyone else - if we keep it to the odd game and don't fall into runs of four, five, six etc without winning though, we'll probably still have a decent campaign.
