    Positives from tonight

    Lewis looked decent

    Joelinton looked decent

    Shelvey looked decent

We played for 80 minutes with 10 men and looked the better team for long periods

    Your go...

And good riddance too. BIG POSITIVE. The three of them will never return. I doubt even as spectators.

I think there is one overshadowing positive about last night:

We have a manager with a plan who is able to competently adjust his tactical dispositions during a game as it evolves.

We haven't had that since Rafa.

If we do go down, this man will take us right back up.

    Hope.

Even though we are in the shit, I respect the fact that we are trying. That game would have been a dead loss under Brooce and some other jokers like Partdue, JokinEar and others that have been here. Even if we get kicked in the balls, we're having a fucking go. This was even happening under Jones to be fair to him.

At the moment, that's all you can ask for. A manager that tries, a team that are trying (even though large parts of it are a shocking shower) and a Director upstairs that has our best interest at heart. It's up to her to spend the money.

By January, you have to expect that Howe will figure out the no-hopers in the team and be ruthless when the time comes.

We're still living with the effects of years of the Fat Man's underinvestment.

The big positive for me would be for Howe to realise he was looking at his best back 4 tonight

I only hope he doesn’t but Lascelles and Richie back in the side for the Burnley game

If Ritchie is on the pitch, he has to be on the wing. But don't see how he plays on the left with MaximumMan there... So put him on the right instead of Murphy, if Howe insist on playing him. I'd personally just leave him on the bench but I'm not the manager.
