If Barnsley FC achieve an average record of W1 D1 L1 in every three games it would be W9 D8 L9 for remaining 26 games. This would result in a season total of 47 pts and possible relegation. It's a tough task for the remainder of the season.

I am predicting 42 pts at best.

In the pre-season predictions thread I predicted " a flirt with divisional retention but finishing 18th ". That may ev been optimistic.

Nay, nay Roma old lad.........Tykes will only hit 22 points and take the wooden spoon off us...BIG LOL...
    Only joking lads.
If Barnsley can't beat 23 points this season then something is drastically wrong at the club.

Re the 23 points season the season before Warnock came in towards the end of that season when we looked doomed, we finished that season 9 points above safety.
Then Warnock walked away when he was about to take us on for another season.
Alan Stubbs was appointed far too late into pre-season to prepare. AS was sacked around October and Kenny Jackett took over, 5 games later he walked away and Paul Warne was made interim manager.
I've watched the Millers since 1959 and seen some right dross, that 23 points season tops them all.
We were cannon fodder in that league and were as good as down half way through the season.
Atmosphere in dressing room must have been awful.
Going home and away that season was hard work and soul destroying.

Best of luck for the rest of the season.

We could well be sharing the New York Stadium next season with Rotherham as the senior club.
