    Why take Lowton off?
A better plan would have been to have Roberts playing out wide in front of Lowton from the start.
We have both Gudjonnson and Lennon neither of who are even worth bench time frankly-totally ineffective and yet continue to be picked.
Why not try Tucker from the youth set-up which seems to produce nothing so far in the last few years (apart from McNeill)
Agree with most of your thoughts. However, McNeill is a Man U youth player and clearly has been coached differently than our real academy players. Our Academy is a joke and a complete waste of time as non of them get a chance which suggests no are good enough. Apart from Cornet our recruitment is shocking. I do like the looks of Collins though but he has to be given a chance. However, at the end of the day our premier status looks like coming to an end and the January window will simply be the disaster like it always is.

We haven't won at St James Park in a League match for 45 years so we just carried on the run yesterday. Nothing surprising at all.
Had Gudmundsson's deflected strike gone in instead of hitting the post it would have reflected our superiority at that stage in the game. Unlucky! Had Pope not had the misfortune to lose the ball hwen he fell on Schar --they would not have scored. Unlucky.
You need you bit of luck and we didn't have any yesterday but I do not do doom and gloom.
If we go down we play in the Championship and there are still two further divisions below that. We have come a loong way in 34 years!

Having given it some thought I wouldn't mind a season in the Championship (provided we bounce back like before), it would make a change being top dogs again and give the club a chance to come back stronger after separating the wheat from the chaff and adding to the squad.

Indeed Sub, and we may well end up re-visiting them, bigger clubs than us have done.

I had two years living in Yarm and regularly went to watch Middlesbrough, Sunderland and Hartlepool.

Make no mistake Sunderland are a "bigger club" than Burnley. Their support is massive, their ground is EPL quality and for the life in them they cannot get out of League 1.

I think we need to do everything we can to stay nice and snug in the "BIG MONEY LEAGUE!"

That's what many posters on this forum have been saying to the Board for the last three years, but they were too busy feathering their own nest, keeping themselves nice and snug. Too late now, the bird has flown.

    Sad but true my mate.

If Cornet is out for a couple of months with his injury and the Africa Nations Cup then I think it will be all over bar the shouting by the end of February.I watched Dyche`s post match interview on MOTD and he sounded exactly like Chris Wilder at this stage last season.
