Condolences to all of Mike's family, although we never met I enjoyed reading his take on Burnley FC.

    .

He was setting off on a new chapter....left the big smoke for a new home, his man shed built, time was his to enjoy, as he liked, with family, friends and loved ones....then suddenly, he's gone.

I only knew Mike/Alto from my time on this forum, but words contain personality, they feel palpable....which is why reading of his passing means more than just losing some type on a screen.

So thank You for that connection Alto

    God Bless.

...Deepest of Condolences to his nearest and dearest.

Only just seen this, shocking news, it just doesn't seem right. I never met Alto but we shared quite a few PMs on here, we had the same views on a lot of things and I feel like I've lost a good friend. RIP Mike, mon ami.

    RIP, Alto.

He did some sterling work keeping the scores up-to-date on a match day.

Had most of my exchanges with him on the swindon board, where he posted after his exile from here. If there is an afterlife, reckon 'Claret Phoney' will be in for a haunting.

Last thread he contributed to here:https://boards.footymad.net/showthread.php?t=38283075
