If we had won we would have been a different number in the draw. So we would definitely not have played Liverpool, given the same draw.

Away to Cleator Moor Celtic in the Cumberland Cup quarter-final though.

They don't come much bigger than that.

The FA Cup is for Prima Donnas, the FA Trophy is where it's at,on the 18th December Notts play Altrincham and will be an all ticket match due to the interest in it... probably

When the bottom 4 in tier 4 had to apply for re-election to tier4 and the then Conference Champions could apply to join tier 4 a vote was taken at a Football League meeting with each member club having 1 vote. In 1980, with 5 candidate clubs (the bottom 4 tier 4 clubs and Altrincham from the Conference) applying to be in tier 4, whichever 4 of those 5 got the most votes would be in tier 4 the next season.

Here is how the vote went :-
Darlington FL 49 re-elected to Division Four
Crewe Alexandra FL 48 re-elected to Division Four
Hereford United FL 28 re-elected to Division Four
Rochdale FL 26 re-elected to Division Four
    Altrincham FC 25

This was an unfortunated ballot for Altrincham. Altrincham were sure
of the votes of Grimsby and Luton but the Grimsby representative
'forgot' to vote and the Luton rep arrived from 'lunch' after the vote
    had taken place.

Crowd may well be lower than you think as it clashes with the the annual 10 Downing Street Christmas party.

It's things like that make me glad that I've never shown any interest in politics,I know that you've got to have politicians in life but there's no a bigger bunch of crooks in London imo, self obsessed and only looking after No.1,didn't Boris want to change the law recently because one of his minions got caught doing wrong and so changed the rules? I'm not picking on the Conservatives I hate Labour and Independents to,I've never voted in my life and proud of that

Crowd could be lower because of the weather more likely. Can’t see many intrepid souls chancing a trip over the snowy Pennines in this weather.

I saw the news last night and there was some woman MP sobbing her eyes out because of what had been reported in the press, her hair was unkempt and she had no makeup on and looked completely different from the video that they showed of her from a year ago,but what an act,I'm pretty sure that it was all put on (or not makeup wise) for the cameras,if some poor mum was missing a child then I would forgive her for looking like that but knew that she had reporters standing at her gate waiting for her to comment, she had loads of time to put some slap on and make herself respectable for the meeting,I think that the tests was for herself and because she had been caught not because she was sorry
