Still a nice sounding guitar. Although Hendrix borrowed stuff from other guitar players like any player andT Bone Walker and Buddy Guy had been doing the showboating stuff before him , to me Hendrix remains unique. Having said that I remember I asked for one of his albums for Xmas when I was quite young and my Dad played it and thought the record was faulty😂!
As for the guitar, I have a Strat myself but it is an early 80s CBS model and much much heavier. These don't have a good reputation generally but I like the sound/tone of mine.

Hi ,i was lucky to see him live in Coventry, with the supporting groups Pink Floyd,The Move ,Nice and Amen corner. All for the cost of about £2. Wish I had kept the ticket stub those are worth around £100.
I've got 3 Strats, my Ist guitar a white Mex strat got this of of chap who played it upside down like Hendrix so I had to reverse the nut. My 2nd Stat is a rare 98 American deluxe,Transparent Teal green, this was made in the new Fender factory.
My 3rd strat is a rare not for export candy apple red St65 tx with matching headstock Japan 2002.

Sounds like you're definitely a Strat man too😃. I always preferred Strats over the Les Paul's myself although they each obviously have their own qualities and are more suited to different sounds /genres than others. My brother used to have a bizarrely bright orange Tele that had a nice sound but, again, it always brings to mind more country or Americana music. Some years ago I treated myself to a Rickenbacker 360 12 string fireglo which might be a kind of one trick pony guitar but it's a beautiful looking instrument and obviously perfect for that 60s/indie jangling vibe. I'd like a Gibson 335 or an Epiphone Casino too but, money aside I don't think my better half would appreciate me cluttering up the house with more stuff as she moans enough about my books/dvds/vinyl/cds etc as it is🙄
