    OT Hamilton

an interesting race and for once the smug bugger loses it to the nasty one.

I really wanted both to lose, but I guess that wasn't going to happen. The king is dead, long live the king

    Not over yet.

Not saying I was screaming at the screen because I'm not that kinda fan, but Merc's appeal is based on them being right and the stewards therefore being wrong. IMO

It's a case of Masi and the FIA not following their own rules, it's madness, it's like the EFL not following theirs and changing their minds when it suits

If Merc aren't successful then I guess my brother can kiss goodbye to a 10k bonus though he'll get one for them winning the constructors

Could be a repeat of the Unser/andretti Indy 500 fiasco, with a result declared many months hence. They really have ****ed up

Suggest they give MV a 2.25vsecond time penalty. But this won't end with today's decision

Dismissed both protests, I imagine this will now be settled in a court room

Confirmed that Mercedes lodge an appeal against the FIA decision, see you in court

IMO, and saying this as a lover of the sport rather than one driver (and with due comiserations to your brother), what should happen here is the result should stand and either the decision makers at the circuit should be sanctioned if the rules were clear and applied wrong (that's in keeping with football and just about any other sport) or the administrators of the governing body should fall on their own swords if the rules weren't clear. As we all appear to agree in other threads, those in charge at exec level are rarely brought to account so I fear its Masi for the chop .

I know virtually nothing about motor sport and have no idea who (or what) Masi is, but have to agree with AF above. If the time has come when the outcome of a so called sporting event can only be settled in court then it has ceased to be a sport...imo.
