They are strapped for cash Mick! Tough life on six figure salaries with feet on desk making phone calls after poor patients have been quizzed by the medical experts manning the phones after being number 62 in the queue!

They do indeed earn big salaries, so why are so many leaving GP land as has been the case for several years?

Because they can afford to mate.

My local GP hung up his stethoscope within a few weeks of the first signs of Covid, he was late 50’s at most.

Gold chipped pensions on top of many years of high salary for being a quack at a quiet country practice.

I’ve mentioned on here previously that one of the remaining GP’s has a husband who’s a GP at another practice, I checked them out at Companies House to see what they were earning in 2020 and they EACH pulled in nearly £375k in that first Covid year.

I’ve had various medical issues in the last two years and since Feb 2020 I have not been able to see her or any of the other GP’s at our practice.

The poor old practice nurse sees everybody and if she has a concern she either rings or pops into a side office where the GP’s are “hiding”.

That’s her description by the way.

What a disgrace, why is their no hint of an enquiry into GP conduct during Covid?

I believe it’s a national disgrace and should be put before a public enquiry.

From 28th December all football matches to be played behind closed doors in Germany, as well as private gatherings limited to 10 people.

Allow me to kick this off.

Total overkill and hyperbole with this import from South Africa in my opinion.

I predict this will turn out to be the mildest form of the variant yet and that hospitals will not be overrun and less people than ever will die from it.

I believe that Omicron or the type that follows it will end up being the lasting legacy for Covid and will end up being no more dangerous than the common cold for those who are sensible enough to have an annual jab.

I also predict that politicians and the media will continue to panic and push the negativity on a regular basis as it suits them to do so.

There is NOTHING to see here, absolutely NOTHING!
My post from two weeks ago.

So this is before Omicron hit our shores.

14th of December I predicted how Omicron would pan out.

Talk about f Kung overkill by media, NHS and some politicians.

Boris has called this about right.

This is a common cold FFS.
