Yesterday in Scotland, daily positive cases reported also on the decline - get the country locked down ASAP. Somebody's benefitting from this whole thing and it's not me.

I used to vote SNP but unless they get rid of that weak as pish, cater to minorities, stop life as we know it numpty at the top they can forget any more support from me.

I agree that the politicians in Scotland are trying to control everything we do.
Sadly a lot of people do not realise this and accept everything that Wee Nic tells them to do as gospel.
It will be interesting to see what excuse she comes up when everyone has had both their Covid-19 vaccinations and their booster jag and the number of new positive cases are still large.
Today she has stated that the Omnicron virus is the dominant strain of the Covid-19 virus in Scotland.
I do not understand how she can come to that conclusion when it takes up to two weeks to confirm that a person has officially tested positive for the Omnicron variant of the Covid-19 virus.
In two weeks time she can make that statement if the number of positive Omnicron cases are higher than the number of Delta (Indian) variant Covid-19 cases but until them she is just guessing.

Omicron being the dominant strain should be great news but not in the UK apparently.

Even those that work In nhs are now calling this out for what it is......absolute hysteria and disgraceful leadership at a Scottish and UK level.

Would like to get the numbers that prove Omicron is the dominant infection. Surely this is a matter of fact not opinion.

I thought that the daily number of new positive Covid-19 cases was as a result of people taking a PCR test not taking one of these hopeless lateral flow tests themselves.
I think that Nippy is making these ridiculous statements that Omnicron is the dominant strain of the Covid-19 virus in Scotland to try to screw more money out of the Westminster Government to replace the £100 million Nippy miraculously managed to find hidden away in the Scottish Government coffers which had been set aside for her next personal ‘project’.

Total new cases about 5300 in Scotland. Yet Omicron was only 526. There must be a tweak being applied to the meaning of the word dominant because any normal usage of the word "dominant' would imply that there should be significantly more than 2650 new Omicron cases.
