    Swans v Luton

It’s Luton at home tonight in a rearranged fixture because of Covid. Flynn Downes is back after his one match suspension to help our shaky defence. The signing of two youngsters, centre half Finley Burns and wing-back Nathanael Ogbeta will hopefully boost our options in that department.
Luton were 3-0 up at half time in the reverse fixture last September, but in a remarkable second half comeback we scored three goals to draw the game.
With only three goals scored in our last six matches, and teams cutting through our flanks like butter, we need to tighten up defensively and put our shooting boots on if we are to get anything from tonight’s match.

Which team will turn up tonight, the first half team at Hull or the second half team at Hull?
If it’s the second half team surely we can’t keep on missing chances at goal.
With ten departures this window and five arrivals our squad is depleted and therefore must be weaker.
Don’t go gung ho up the field and leave our defence wide open, do not concede an early goal and we may have a chance.

Moral must be low after all those departures. The captain must rally the players.
Get Paterson back on board and get the goals flowing again.

Another game of missed chances and weak defending, with no prospect of a win playing with a system that’s not working with unsuitable players.
We needed our target players in the transfer window to boost the squad but the owners blocked each one and sanctioned the cheaper options instead and only this by allowing ten players to be transferred or loaned out.

We had enough chances to win last night, but again we can’t score.
Couple that with weak defending for their goal and it’s another defeat.
Can you believe all that 72% possession and for nothing, very frustrating.
