Despite the disappointment of the new regulations we still badly need the 3 points on offer on Sunday.

Worst case scenario the Hibs could be above us in the league by then. Would be nice to think their schedule will take a toll on them but with Maloney on board you'd expect they'll be ready and fired up.

In the absence of Covid and injury updates guessing a lineup seems a bit pointless but Mochrie has earned a starting berth.

We really need a blistering high powered winning performance and a win to give the fans a lift. Any kind of win, a last minute og type win will do the job. Heart says aye, head very uncertain.

Here's hoping the lucky 500 see the 3 points stay at Tannadice.

It's reported that 10 of the 12 Premiership clubs are in favour of moving the winter break - but Rangers are NOT one of them.

New restrictions were announced by the Scottish Government on Wednesday that have come as a hammer blow to SPFL clubs.

From Boxing Day only 500 fans will be allowed to attend matches, regardless of stadium size, for a period of at least three weeks.

January 2 was scheduled to be the biggest weekend in the Scottish football calendar, with Celtic taking on Rangers as well as the Dundee, Edinburgh and Ayrshire derbies.

As things stand those showpiece games would be played in almost empty stadiums, leading to calls for the winter break - due to begin on January 3 - to be moved forward and the matches rescheduled.

Of the Premiership clubs Celtic, Hibs, Livingston and Motherwell have publicly called for a rethink of the calendar, with a meeting taking place on Tuesday night.

According to the Scottish Sun, Dundee, Dundee United, Hearts, St Johnstone and St Mirren are also in favour of moving the break if logistics allow.

However, Rangers and Ross County are both said to be against the plans.

St Mirren have nae players left and have to play Infirm. Pathetic but normal from SPFL. Although we were in exactly same position its the infirm who call all the shots. And fvck the rest of us (apart from Aberdeen who like to suck the blue bobby in the hope they are considered part of the infirm)

We just have a better belief in youth rather than filling squads with 30 year old journeymen. After United playing with a COVID outbreak I'm all for everyone having to fulfil their fixtures.

Postponements due to fans not being able to get into the grounds is difference though
