Matchday Thread: Derby v West Brom

Wayne set us up to avoid defeat when we played them away, and it worked. But how the Hell does/can he set us up to win?

    Any ideas?

Tough one, I'm predicting, before I've hit the sherry (...ok, it's special brew, you've got me), 1-0 to The Rams.

We won't repeat the Hawthorns heroics IMO. 1-3.

    Well...another nice surprise!
Ultimately all in vain, I suspect...but you just can’t fault the commitment and one player apart - who I’d be happy to see the back of in January - some great performances, not least from Ryan Allsop.
When you think who we were missing, those left standing rode their luck and did outstandingly well imo.

Who was the one you want rid of? Baldock?

As for Allsop, one match defining save and otherwise nothing to do

    Indeed...think we got bloody Baldrick.

Disagree over Allsop. Made three or four important saves...one outstanding one...his handling was safe throughout and, one misplaced first half pass under pressure apart, his distribution was much improved.

Blimey, don't these kids work their proverbials off!
Sheer guts and determination won't stop the inevitable but by golly it sure is inspiring! Well done Wayne and his merry men, bloody marvellous!

Exactly...Ebosele, Thompson, Knight and Bird were like perpetual motion. Hope we can hang on to them...sure ‘old man’ Curtis’ leadership and example were crucial too.
