Time for a new mod on this board?

I am starting this thread just to have a discussion about if it is time for Griff to call it a day. I hope that Griff will not be too offended and will allow the debate to happen. Perhaps Gruff himself has also thought about giving up the reigns here. He is of course a very good guy and would still be a welcome member of the community but I think that a debate needs to be had now.
The state of this board is very poor compared to the main one. Hardly any one posts here compared to there and the numbers are falling. You could say that Griffs management of here over the years has followed a similar downward path to that of Jenkins and CO managing the club.
For me the main reason for the poor perfomance is IT issues. It takes weeks and weeks to sign up and if you have any IT problems then no one helps. If someone who knew about IT and how websites worked was in charge (and I am not putting myself forward for the job.....yet!) then I think it would be much better and more people would sign up. I would also post more things like CCU does over on the main board if I were in charge, things like actual news and facts and also links to articles.
What do we all think?

Kessler 2.0 should be aware of the structure of FootyMad. It consists of more than 100 message boards in one single structure. It is not maintained by any of its moderators. Their permissions are mainly to do with making certain that nothing occurs that could be a legal problem for the owners who are the operators. The operators are entirely responsible for maintaining the whole structure.

You will find that it is by far the more robust of the two best known Carlisle United boards.

My understanding is that it takes "weeks and weeks to sign up" because Griff has a Gentlemans Agreement (Old Boys Agreement) with the Moderators on the other board that he will not allow any new posters to join without their prior approval.

This Agreement was put in place after NS was accused of libelling one of them.

How dare you put words in my mouth coco. I happen to think, and have stated that griff is perfect for the job. Its everybodys duty to start threads, griff has tried. Who else would run predictocomp in a perfectionist way. Without him this board wont exist.

Maybe it is only robust because no one really uses this board anymore therefore it never comes under any strain on its bandwidth. If a bridge made of iron collapsed after 100 tanks drove on it but the bridge next to it made of sticks stayed up even though no tanks drove on it it would not make the bridge made of sticks more robust.

It is the mods job to raise any problems with Footymad. Not sit quietly whilst no one can sign up surely? It is in the interest of the mod, footymad and all those who use the board to have people sign up.

Very shady if Griff does have agreements with the other board epecially after him making the main selling point of this board that it is independant!

It may not be common knowledge but it is fairly obvious to regular posters that Griff is up close and personal with the likes of CCU and Merseyside Blue.

Why do you think he hasn't been banned from t'other board despite his many controversial posts?

Before he put on a few pounds in recent years, Griff's nickname was The Slim Shady.
