    Our Dog Bobby

Many of you will know of him, (he's my avatar), he suffered a massive stroke which paralysed both of his back legs aged 5 and was given only a 50/50 chance of ever walking again. We all knew he would walk again and did for anotther 9 years.

He passed away today aged four**** and a half.

Named after SBR. Sleep well Bobster. ❤️

    It is heartbreaking CL.

Some say it's like losing a member of your family, it's not, it is losing a member of your family.

My dog George a Labrador had a large tumour removed which had give him no pain but he cried for 4 days after surgery.
After a biopsy on the lump the vet said it was a very aggressive cancer and would return. It has returned and it is just a matter of timing it when to have him put to sleep before he suffers with it.

I am not putting him through further surgery which caused him more suffering than the tumour which is external.I don't want to lose my pal and I am dreading the time I have to tell the vet to give the fatal jab.

It's been a terrible day. I made three appointments at the vets but cancelled all of them.
    Just couldn't bring myself.
    Until today, I knew.
Hasn't made it any easier mind.

    Awful decision to make.

So sorry to hear your sad news Stan. I know what you are going through I lost my greyhound, it's six years ago now. I had him from a pup for 11 years. I have a painting of him in front of this desk I'm using so I see him every day.

Whatever you do Stan don't change your avatar.

    Thanks Zip.

Devastated if I'm truly honest. Despite knowing it was coming.
