If there is such a thing as an under rated film, The Bounty starring Anthony Hopkins & Mel Gibson always impresses me when I watch it.

We got that film back in about '81, in the early days of owning a vhs video player/recorder. And from what I can remember, it was a garbage film lol.
It was the same as well with films called Alien terror and Blastfighter. They might look good on the cover etc.. 😊

It reminds me of how exciting it was in those days to goto the video shop and rent a film.
Then the day/night would be ruined if the film turned out to be rubbish. Especially after spending ages choosing it. 😃

Some of my earliest memories of going to the pictures meanwhile, were to see the Roger Moore 007 films and Star wars and Jaws and Superman. Great times!.

I think my greatest childhood Cinema memories, in the days where half the seats were smoking has to be Back to the future and perhaps also ET. But I’m also a bit of a sci-fi guy and have a soft spot for those Arnie Movies, Red Heat, Running Man, Total recall. Predator, Red Sonia, Conan , terminator ………

Spoilt in them days, where you had one VHS , long play copies of copies that you would watch 3 times week lol

Loved Stand by me, Goonies, Lost Boys …… and of course Power of One ! Empire of the Sun ….

I better stop there mate lol

If you were a fan of Arnie, it really meant summat at the time din't it when he did a new film.
And for me one of the rare times a sequel was slightly better than the original... was/is Terminator 2. And to this day, I still can't understand Total recall lol.
The only one of his that Ive got no time for and have never watched, was where he was pregnant!!. 😯
It was always the same excitement as well when Stallone and Van Damme did new films, that really was a bye-gone era.
