Pace was in Croatia to get the deal finalised, the home fans "persuaded" the player to stay in Zagreb. Can't see us being anything other than positive in trying to get the deal done Alf.

Maybe he met Mr Pace, who is obviously not as persuasive as he thought he was, maybe we'd have been better to fly him into Manchester and let Sean, a proper football man, do the talking.

It just gets worse and worse, and we've nowhere near hit the bottom yet, this is just the beginning. Fasten your seat belts.

That's all well and good CiB, but these two are not long term, careful plans coming to fruition, they are last minute panic moves caused by, and financed by, Wood's move to Newcastle. I will guarantee you that no one at Turf Moor had even heard of these two players at the start of the window.

And one of them has fallen through already anyway, Mr Pace must have been well pleased with himself when Cornet signed, perhaps he thought it would always be that easy. Welcome to the real football world Alan.

It would have been a big surprise if he had signed Sinkov. This could derail the Weghout deal.Who would want to come to BFC at the moment. We will almost certainly be in the Championship next season.

It just goes back to my earlier post the later you leave it the chances of players changing minds and clubs changing minds has a massive impact on our absolutely diabolical window , we messed around for 2/3 weeks while we could have actively been finding / negotiating with players - players been plural so if we got knocked back we can move on having time to approach others plus we would also have had time on our side to integrate players into our squad if we did sign them.

I’m sorry but we’re -iss poor at recruitment and generally are whole football
    Philosophy at the minute top
To bottom its full of uncertainty and any stability.

Nobody wanted to come play for us when we finished 7th and playing in Europe..
We are the only town team in the Premiership.. to most Burnley is a ****e hole..
and too boot we are bottom of the league.

And Pace wastes the first 3 weeks wining and dinning in Italy trying to sign Ramsey who is on 300k a week..
Is the guy off his fcking rocker?

I spent about 30 years of my life in Burnley and even I think it's a $hithole.
