Wouldn’t we or shouldn’t have we been eyeing up a midfielder before this window had even started ? If we can see the need for a midfielder, then surely the management can aswell ? We’ve needed a midfielder or two since the season started. It’s not something that’s just come to light, after all. This is what makes it more unbelievable.

In midfield we have McNeil, Cork, Westwood, Brownhill, Gudmundsson, and Cornet to choose from.

That makes us two light by my reckoning, we tried very hard to sign Orsic, but no-one else.

Our recruitment has been a shambles for the last 9 years, why change the habits of a lifetime?

I also think that the idea that good players wouldn’t come to BFC is a load of bull... it’s just that we haven’t been looking for the right kind of players (foreign players). Also the idea that the PL is of such high quality that foreign players aren’t up for it, is also a load of bull... some make it others don’t... that’s the same everywhere. We have had the opportunity for years now to attract quality players from abroad but we’ve just been looking in your own backyard... That’s the fault of the previous board and I believe SD has been in on that.
I had also hoped we would have targeted some CM for this window, but it looks like Sinkov is right: There was no money to spend.
I do not question the ambition to stay up. Not the players, nor SD or the board. But what do you do when there is no money. With the state of the world being the way it has since ALK took over I’m sure Mr Pace have had a few more obstacles than he would have wanted to get other investors into the club.
