Match day is here at last and with games off up and down the country Notts travel to Norfolk aiming to climb closer to the pinnacle of the National League this afternoon. Ruben Rodrigues is absent, suspended for receiving too many Christmas cards.

Team news is expected at 2:00pm. Fingers crossed we can end 2021 on a high note with all three points and perhaps a few goals in our favour to boost the GD column. Of course, with this being Notts, anything could happen in reality.

I know somebody over here whose nephew plays for them. Reckons they are playing well, just can't finish teams off. Like most teams, they need a striker who can put the ball in the onion bag, says they are creating plenty of chances in most games. Hopefully not today

It's very rare that you see Notts this short in the betting for an away league game. With Coral, Notts are 1/3, KL 7/1 and the draw 13/4.

Hull City have only just postponed their game (just after 1pm) with 17 positive tests in their squad.
NL quite badly hit today, unlike last weekend, 6 off in the NL North.

Always dangerous to predict an easy win in league football, especially away, but if there was ever an easy win for Notts at this level - Kings Lynn has to be among the most obvious since we got relegated. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for Middlesbrough this afternoon

2pm Pitch Inspection with the likelyhood of it being called off unfortunately.
    Waterlogged pitch.

A draw wouldn't be a disaster, but the win column will decide the Champions.

Edit: You'd think Kings Lynn would know a bit about irrigation and drainage

Confirmed as off by the official NCFC twitter feed.

Somebody reckons it was Notts who were the most reluctant to play.

Wouldn’t be surprised. We like the ball on the deck and if that game plan was going to be impacted why would we risk it?
There is no need to for us to chase points with so many games already off today.
