January 2022 transfer window facts and rumours

With regard to incoming I don't think we'll see much if any activity.

the millers.co.uk say their striker Labado has put in a transfer request and is thought to be heading to Pride Park. They may have forgotten we can't pay fees...... Millers fans reckon this guy who has 12 goals this season so far is crap.

    On the outgoing front.....

Admin has said they've rejected bids for Buchanan and Sibley. The Lee one is probably the Red Dogs who will, again, be trying to get him for next to nowt. They can do one. Put a proper bid in or STFU. Sibs? I'm guessing it's L**ds. They will also be trying it on for a pittance. They can do two

Also seen rumours that Everton want Jason Knight.

Rooney has been told he can re-sign players out of contract this month if he wants to and can sign free agents.

Jan 17 sees Jags and Sam B out of contract. Jags will get an extension offer IMO. I don't think Baldock will, he's behind Plange and Kaz in the pecking order and would be behind Stretton as well if Strets wasn't injured.

Marshall to go and cheap cover to replace him?

Also sounds like Rooney has at least one newbie lined up.

Wayne saying it looks like the preferred buyer is to be announced soon is also a plus.

    Good news at last.

    Define ‘soon’.

Soon = probably some time later this year

Rather the same as it meant back in November, except it wasn't the same year

I thought it was ‘imminent’ back in November...which is sooner than ‘soon’.
