Eddy won’t take it off Lascelles man, it’s possible to have more than one “captain” on the field, Trippier will be vocal and that will help Lascelles because at the moment only Ritchie gets vocal, and passionate, the rest r asleep!

Lascelles and Richie should be nowhere near the starting 11. Lascelles is a mid table Chimpo defender and Richie is finished as a Premiership player.

Yes we all know that, still don’t think it would be a good move to take the captaincy off him, the way things are at the moment. Like I said Trippier will be a good lieutenant, but with no title.

Lascelles just isn't good enough currently.

Whether he will be again is definitely up for debate. I say 'again' because there was a time under Rafa when we were baffled that he hadn't been called up for England, he was playing that well.

Two years under Bruce has seen him regress terribly to the point where you wonder if the damage is permanent. I like his attitude and the fact that he never hides but, confidence-wise, he seems shot and he's not worth his place currently (who could replace him is another matter with Fernandez' woes).

Shame for him, shame for us.

You could put forward the same reasons for most of the squad. i.e . during Raf and post-Rafa and that is the main reason the club is in the position it is now.

    Main reason is under investment.

    We did well last year.

The fat one thought he could trim the squad a bit.

As for Lacelles under Rafa, I think we all overrated him.

What most have overlooked is that when he was touted for England. He had excellent defenders in Colocinni and Lejeune around him who covered when he went AWOL. With those now departed he has been massively found out.
