    Rooney pre Blades press conference

    Highlights

Bielik and Buchanan both in full training. Buchanan ahead of Bielik in pursuit of full fitness. Bielik a couple of weeks away. Could arrange some behind-closed-doors games for Bielik.

    Goalkeeper
Rooney says he is looking at bringing in a third keeper following Marshall's departure. No mention of which keeper.

    Squad
Nathan Byrne and Louie Sibley are fit and available for Saturday

    Phil Jagielka
Rooney says a deal is agreed with Jagielka, but waiting for EFL clearance... I say... good

    Sam Baldock
Rooney says he will not be re-signing Sam Baldock, whose contract expires on Jan 17... I say.... rumours Baldock has already gone

    Louie Sibley
Rooney says rumours that Sibley going out are false. He describes the player as a big part of his plans.

    Amad Diallo
Rooney says there are various players they are looking at to come in and improve the squad. Rooney says Diallo is a player he likes but says him arriving at the club in January is 'very unlikely'..... I say..... that should please the many who have posted online in the past 2 days we'd signed him already

    Tonight or tomorrow
Rooney is saying that with “some confidence”. The EFL making decisions today. We should know by tonight or tomorrow

    Preferred bidder
Rooney says we should all know by tomorrow about a preferred bidder

    That's about it, folks

FFS! Based on what he'd been told by Admin from their chat with the EFL. A day later the EFL come up with new sanctions, you can't fault Rooney for that, surely?

Of course he doesn't. He's either being fed bull ****, or he's too dumb to realise whats going on.

Derby. EFL line about how to handle the Boro/Wycombe snag now is:
1…Settlement could be reached before exit admin. 2…preferred bidder could accept liability following the exit of admin. 3…an arbitration process under EFL would need to be followed. Option 1 costs. 2 costs. 3?

And he's talking about transfers etc?

    Deluded.

and this is the scary one.

Derby. EFL want to see funds for season by Feb 1 or threaten to ‘take away the golden share’ … that means kick out of league. EFL saying they would let a bidder take club on if they agree to pay any compo bills for Boro/Wycombe. That’s after admin statement blamed them …
