Converting A Defender Into A Striker

Well it has been done. Paul Warhurst comes to mind. Played up front during an injury crisis for Wednesday and scored 12 goals in 12 games.

If we can't get anyone in, we'll have to be creative. Is Connor Roberts back on the grass? What about Nathan Collins?

That's the thing Alf. Can we find one before The Watford Game in 4 days?

According to SD our recruitment team are working their fingers to the bone to find suitable talent at all times - hence the interest in Carroll at 33 and Defoe at 39. Always looking to the future!

Cornet could perhaps introduce us to a couple of his mates.

Why are they working their fingers to the bone ? This transfer window has been coming for months, we've been in the bottom three for months, it's been obvious for months that we need players in during this window, so why is there not a list of players our recruitment team have been analysing, oven ready on the manager's desk, for him to peruse and decide which we should pursue.

This is the job of our recruitment team surely, it's what they're for isn't it, but yet again they don't appear to have done their job and we're scrabbling round half-way through the window, in a panic, not having a fecking clue who to sign.

    Pub teams are run better.

I was being sarcastic, sinkov mon ami. That is the point. They have achieved the square root of f*ck all as far as I can see.

We spend millions on an Academy that seems incapable of producing anything other than lower league players, bring in players well past their sell by date, don’t play the players that we do, finally bring in and generally make Iron Bru United look professional.

We have the much lauded AI that was supposed to change everything. What is that producing? Perhaps early days on that? However, every one on here can see what is needed. We are never linked with players of potential. All SD brings in are goalkeepers and defenders.

Let’s hope that recruitment is out of his hands and that things are happening behind the scenes.

Which is another of my pet peeves. Why are we always “under the radar”? Let’s have some noise, generate some interest in the club outside Turf Moor.

I think we would have a better chance of recruiting some talent that way!

    We never learn mon ami.

Which team in their right mind could possibly field FIVE goalkeepers all with EPL experience?

THREE FULL England capped goalkeepers anyone?
