parp 4 (cant stop saying it) for me today 25th Nov.
Drove off from the first tee but didnt hit it cleanly and ended up to the left of the fairway and 100 yds from the green. (1y)
Hit a nice 2nd shot onto the green around 10 feet from the hole, which left me some thinking to do about how to play it as even with the letters I had, I had to think long and hard about what to do next. (1g+2y)
I have a big and little putter in my bag but couldnt make up my mind as to which one to use use to try and roll the ball into the hole. My wife shouted "it's not the size of your putter, it's how many strokes you take" and I'd bought a book the day before about witty retorts and how to use them when someone tries to belittle you, so I told her to F**k off, money well spent. Anyway I decided to use my big putter and it looked like it was going to go in but just rolled away on the slope leaving me with a nice 2 incher, "dont even think about it" I said to my wife. (2g+2y)
With what I had left it was an obvious choice so I swapped my big putter for the smaller one and rolled it in for a parp 4 (5g)

Topped the ball off the tee to only 180 yards on the downhill fairway.
Slight recovery with a 3 iron which saw my ball reach the front apron.
45 foot putt for birdie.

Ronners always mention his missus but I have to thank mine today. She gave me that little bit of reassurance at just the right time.
HOLE 14
Back up the hill with trees lining the RHS of fairway
Opening shot similar to opening 9 when it was the 5th, straight into the trees and rough 2y
Bit of a gap so rescue club out onto fairway through the trees 3y
7 iron, plonked it onto green within 8ft of the pin 2g, 2y
Few options for the putt but luckily straight in 5g
Par 4
Still 8 over for the round
Solid drive, wedge to 2', putt holed for another birdie. Cock-a-hoop until I got on the next tee and witnessed Howdy holing out from a mile away! -7 after 14.

Last weeks statistics. BAKER on 16/11 was the hardest word with a 4.79 average (3.89 on MM - well done everyone). THERE was the easiest word on 17/11 with a 3.58 average (3.77 on MM). Two words with a 1.2 average difference across the WORDLE World but with almost the same average within the MM golfing buddies.
Parp.
I don't want to talk about it.
