    Fleetwood Town Post Match Thoughts

Deja vu all over again? Statistics say it's a game we should have won, but statistics don't win you games, goals do and we seem to have hit upon a problem in scoring them. In the main results went against us today and it's down to third. Time to regroup and for PW to learn the lessons from 2 years ago when we hit this stage of the season and started to falter before Covid came to our rescue.

    Thoughts?

Painfully blunt in the final third.
Wiles officially has football's first 'no sub clause'. No need for him to stay on whilst looking crocked and generally poor, performance wise.
Could sense we would lose it, written all over the game. Just defend a set piece guys. Running off the back of Wood and REG, poor.
Fergie, Barlaser and Icky played well.
Glad we play midweek to put it right.

    Poor.

It’s glaring obvious these last few games we need a goal scorer, no good dominating games & losing or drawing,Massive 3points needed against Lincoln. MOM Barlaser.

Too many players looked off, Grigg was awful, Rathbone, Wiles (rest him) Cheio all poor.

The defending for the goal was terrible

First of all some of our fans disrespecting the minutes silence. Absolutely shocking and embarrassing.

The game itself can we now put to bed this thought that Grigg is any good he’s awful and stealing a wage. Who was it who said we’re better with him in the team needs sectioning.
We can’t keep missing chances. Ogbene can’t cross consistently.

Ladapo may be the only option for the next game

    Pissed off after that.

As I told Stevemiller we will finish 5th or 6th and lose in the play-off semi-final. Our last promotion was a a joke as the wheels had come off and ppg saved us. Warne and his teams are bottlers. If you don't agree, fine. But they are.

Shows the club has to get a striker, sooner now than later, Grigg has not been the answer.
I think we need to start Smith & Ladapo as the front pairing on Tuesday, let Ladapo put
    himself in the shop window.
Ogbene needs to learn how to cross a ball into the area, away from the keeper.
