- Tripper, our best player by a mile. Most profesional performance I have seen from a Toon player in years. A true leader.

- Dummet did ok, condsidering how long hes been out.

- Fraser was decent (much thanks to Tripper getting closed down by Watford players)

- Only one of Lacelles goal giftig HORROR MISTAKES led to a goal.

And we do have a game in hand on Norwich

Before, we were 6-7pts behind in the footrace with our relegation brethren.

We would be 9pts off if Burnley wins all 3 in hand. But they can only be expected to get a max of 6pt out of 9pts. So we're still just 6pts off Burnley.

Assuming Watford wins their game in hand, we'll be 6 points off them too.

I'm still ignoring Norwich because they've played one more game.

With this logic, we are still just 6 points or 2 wins more than these other feeblings. But we've now used up all of our lives, we cannot afford to lose a single more winnable game. The big flaw in the logic is that we are still saddled with our existing Centre Backs... so we remain odd-on to just lose or draw until we swap out these liabilities.

That's the only ray of hope I can see. But if we don't change personnel at the back, we have all of the evidence we need that we will continue to leak goals that will make all Mathematics, other teams' results, Covid postponements, fervent hope and whoever else we sign meaningless.

Do we know what is wrong with Fernandez.? A back 4 of him, Schar , Dumment and Trips all up to speed doesn’t frighten me.
We will need a few ‘upset’ victories now but we are capable. Trippier, Wood and hopefully any other new signings will need at least a few games to find their feet.
We are not out of this yet but we need to find a new gear and soon.

Well here's a big important one then. All of those points, just imagine how many, we have given away to teams around us.

In our position, those lost points are worth double as they have gone from us to a competitor.
