Tam saying that the reason he didn’t set TW was because he wasn’t sure if the deal wld go through and he had already named the team! Head scratcher this. What about “oh McNulty if TW deal isn’t done your starting, but if it is you’ll start on the bench”. It was the biggest best kept secret on Monday afternoon that he had signed! And what was to stop him from starting at the start of 2nd half.

Need a better excuse than that Tam.

When a player hurts himself during the warm up we quickly change the line up, but we can't change something that was decided the day before? Aye OK Tam. If Tam hasn't got the *******s to tell McNulty he's now second choice then he needs to step the **** down, or step the **** up and grow a pair! If McNulty 'no goals' isn't happy then send him back and get in someone with a bit of hunger instead on half the wage

That's not an explanation, it's an excuse. And a piss poor one at that. Honestly, I was shocked he wasn't starting.

Maybe Thomas was mis-quoted, was quoted out of context or rather maybe he prefers he hadn't said that at all, either way I wouldn't worry about it. Most Head Coaches/Managers would have put a one-day old big signing on the bench, it's what you do. Was Clark in the huff at McNulty going straight in then, doubt it.

On a brighter note how good is Charlie Mulgrew? He's Rolls Royce. Made more yards than anyone & three great scoring attempts whilst being the cornerstone of the defence. As long as he stays fit we shouldn't go far wrong.

Last night when I saw the defence was to be Neilson, McCann, Mulgrew & Edwards I thought that should be the ticket, four big lads taking no sh*te, just clear their lines with a ‘thou shalt not pass’ attitude and we will be well on the road

Might just need to work a wee bit on the ‘take no sh*te’ and ‘thou shalt not pass’ bits

Do you really believe that last bit, because i think he has been an ever present through these defeats and goes to prove that we need more than Mulgrew, and i add Benji and Edwards as part of what shouldnt go far wrong!

Last night just proved that having these 3 as the least wrong part of the team is really not enough and we need 8 other players to protect them, dig in and win the fecking game!

I was going to point out we are going far enough wrong with him fit! The sad thing is last night he was our best attacker, he was only guy that was actually going forward and taking 2-3 players out by going past them.
