I agree life experience in sales - customer service etc is fantastic which is why many youngsters who are at uni take summer jobs.

I am not bitter to those who have had fantastic opportunities ie university and most go on to succeed. I wish I had those opportunities.

You and me are exceptions who have done well but it’s a fact of life those with uni experience and a good education on the whole will succeed over kids who have left school with nothing to show. Not always but in most occasions and a lot of it is called expectation of life and a career.

I am glad my kids have had a great education and now reaping the benefit of fantastic jobs. That’s my point!
You’re talking about something completely different to me.

Uni grads of 25 with no proper job and life experience should be sat in Number 10.

    End of!

That’s the point - don’t know many uni grads who don’t have good jobs. Can only speak for my own - my own kids had a fantastic education and now due to their hard work at school and university - are reaping the rewards with top jobs. Most would want their kids to have opportunities parents did not have and to achieve more in life then it’s job done.

Even a thick and lazy grad and sure there are some can fall back on their academic results where a thick and lazy non achiever - well there’s plenty of jobs in our warehouse packing boxes so always something. Expectations differ.

Going back to Starmer who I don’t like - for a state school kid he’s worked hard and for sure he would be on less now in his current role than previous directorships but maybe money is not his sole motivation.
